Paul Murphy is a photographer and film maker originally from Northern Ireland. His career started in 1991 when he became a commercial photographer. The next 20 years saw Paul shooting for some of the worlds largest and most prestigious brands. In 2003 he won a Cannes Lion Grand prix, the highest accolade that can be awarded in advertising, for a commercial image that he made for Volkswagen. Paul's subjects during this period were quite diverse, from portraits to car photography. In 2010 he was given the Rose award for photography at the Royal Academy Summer Show. In 2011 he had a one man show at Flowers Gallery Cork street where he showed a series of work entitled Sentinels, 8ft x 6ft images that were made on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Paul's love of film and animals saw him embark on a short Anti-Hunting film project that we wrote and funded himself. The film was absorbed by the League Against Cruel Sports for their 2015 campaign and to date it has had over 10 million hits online. Paul lives and works at 118Stanstead.
